Two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has been signed as a brand ambassador for Callaway Golf as he switches his focus to bagging aces on the golf course rather than the tennis court.

The 37-year-old double Olympic gold medallist has been putting all of his efforts into lowering his seven handicap since stepping away from professional tennis in August last year.

Leveraging Murray’s influence and passion for the game, Callaway will work with the sportsman to help introduce new and emerging audiences to golf, demonstrating its accessibility, excitement, and the unique challenges the game has which keep seasoned and new golfers striving to learn more.

Through this partnership fans will also have the opportunity to be part of Murray’s golf story, as Callaway creates exclusive content showcasing his progress, insights, and experiences on the course.

“I’ve been playing a lot of golf since I retired from tennis and Callaway have been supporting me with this,” said Murray, who is a member at Beaverbrook Golf Club in Surrey. “I was fitted at their European Performance Centre in September and I’ve been using their clubs since then. It’s made a huge difference to my performance already. I’m hoping to reduce my handicap so I’m looking forward to working with them to keep improving my game.”

“Andy’s dedication and competitive mindset have made him one of the most respected athletes in the world and we’re proud to welcome him to the Callaway family,” said Chris Gregg, Marketing Director, Callaway Golf EMEA. “His enthusiasm for golf is infectious, and we can’t wait to support him on this journey while creating content that inspires both existing and new golfers alike.”
