Andrea Sartori, KPMG’s Head of Golf in EMA commented,  “this survey has historically played a crucial part in helping our clients that are looking for reliable benchmark analysis. The update will undoubtedly assist further projects into the future and we look forward to sharing the initial findings at the forum”.

Andrea will be joined by President and CEO of the National Golf Foundation (NGF), Joe Beditz, who is set to share in depth knowledge on the rate and location of future development. Since the financial crisis of 2008 many had speculated that the global growth of golf would stagnate. The NGF, with help from the R&A and 15 of golf’s leading companies, created a database and found 675 golf projects in either the planning or construction phase. These new projects comprise the development “pipeline” and represent roughly four to five years of growth, suggesting that golf course development is still present even after the global recession of 2008.

Also adding expertise to the discussion will be Dana Garmany, Chairman and Chief Executive of Troon, and with CEO of International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), Peter Walton.
